Hello all!

I’ve decided to not post progress here because I’m not the kind who can compile all her photos nicely to post in one post AFTER the costume is done. SO, you can head over to my fc2 if you really wanna look at progress photos because that’s where I post my progress photos when I do take them, haha. ;D

I guess this wp is more for events,photoshoots and plans 8Db

In any case, more costumes are underway~ as well as a photoshoot this monday! So do look forward to that~ I’m pretty excited

AFA ‘09 [Day 2]

Alright, my report for day 2!

It was awesome crack and well, really a lot of fun that I haven’t had since….idk. Worked with new people I haven’t worked with before too! <3 *is a happy kid*

Anyway, I cosplayed Zeed from Danzai no Maria, a psycho guy who wears nothing but a vest as a top and shorts with 16 buttons and garter belts with bxr socks and armwarmers. how exciting!

I’m really proud of this costume though, because this is my first costume that I can proudly say, ” I SEWED IT ENTIRELY MYSELF ;o; ” … with help on drafting the shorts anyway, yea.

Day 2 was even more exhausting.

And binding was a bitch because I’m sucha loser and ended up getting a bleeding back after removing the tape. ORZ.

However, I reallyreally enjoyed day 2! MUCH THANKS AND LOVE TO OUR AWESOMESAUCE TEAM WHICH WAS FULL OF CRACK and yea. I’ll never forget our awesome accents, hahahahaha.

That said, of course very little people could recognize me- AGAIN. ;o; It doesn’t help that I had to expose my entire mid section, so my neck and face was WARM but my stomach was FREEZING oTLoTL Kids found my fox head intriguing though! heh, I guess it was worth it to sew despite having to suffer the nights of non-stop sneezing because of the flying fur everywhere in my room @_@

AFA ‘09 [Day 1]

So, a more detailed report on how my AFA 09 Day 1 experience!

Since this was the second time I was doing Doll, the costume just needed a little bit of touching up (more hotgluing and some painting).

I hotglued the flowers on my headpiece again, so that they don’t drop out. Not that worked very well though … … I guess suicidal roses remain suicidal eh ._.

And yes, the painting bit was a bitch. Because of the lack of vertically striped socks locally, I resorted to painting the black lines on myself. That meant wearing the sock, then painting. Needless to say, my leg got painted as well. OTZ.

Anyway, more of that in the AFA progress post. Now, day 1 was pretty awesome!

Met reiyu-verse at city hall mrt, before making our way to the toilet to get ready. That was about 8.30a.m. While we were putting on makeup and stuff, jesuke comes into the toilet, making us laugh a lot (we were talking about how someone would react if someone came in see, so yea.)

At about 11, we were officially ready to go! And yes, that is probably the earliest we will ever be for an event, HAHAHAHA. We collected our free tickets, then proceeded in, only to realize the changing rooms were meant for finalists only. This meant that we have NO PLACE to put our baggage without having to enlist the help of others to look after them D:

Thank god for flozen-lime and sara-lynn who helped us look after out bags while we walked around the event! *gives lotsa love*

It was definitely BIGGER and MORE CROWDED this year, as compared to last year. Would have taken more photos, but my phone died )8 but enjoy whatever I took before my phone died I guess.

I would have retaken the photo if my phone did not die, so there. I DID NOT TAKE PHOTOS WITH THE LAST MEMBER, Kanasaii as GAKUPO  *weeps* but I guess seeing them irl was awesome enough for me! <3

Even though very few people recognized our characters, it’s funny to see their reactions (mostly or “omg the flowers! ” ). Of course, there were those who recognized us, and it was so heart warming to have them tell us that we look good! <3

 

Sorry to all those I bumped into because I was half blind, and to those who I didn’t respond to because I’m deaf -_-

We changed out at about 4pm because we got really tired and wanted to walk around the event unrestricted by the costume. So, sorry to those who didn’t manage to catch me ;o;

AFA Report!

Basically:

Day 1 – Doll

Day 2 – Zeed

 

Both characters are like opposites of each other.

Doll is suppose to be a really girly (but demure?)tight rope walking character, whereas Zeed is like a psyco guy. Unfortunately, both cosplays made me expose a lot of my skin over the 2 days, so I kind of caught a cold? heh.

Well, just back from AFA so I’m really tired and sneezing like crazy (while getting rid of whatever fur got into my mouth, blueah). More posts and photos soon, I promise!

Okay, I’ve been slow in updating this wordpress, ahaha.

Hiatus!

As I’ve mentioned on my dA a few days ago, I’ll be on an internet hiatus as much as possible (highly impossible, but if it goes out of hand I’m going cold turkey -3-). I know I hardly EVER update this space in the first place, but I probably would not be until after 13th Nov (YES THE DAY THE DRATTED EXAMS END).

Of course, I’ll still be contactable via gmail or msn, and I would still update my twitter haha 8Db

Edited the selling page to be neater, as well as the cosplay timeline to include the characters full names so it seems more professional, HAHA.

Syaoran Li ; birthday – 13/7

I wanted to do something special for him, as he was the first character I fangirl-ed over as a kid, hence he does have a special place in my life as not only a favourite character, but also as a character that I really look up to as being really determined and strong (I really admired him when I was a kid! *w*). I’ve posted the first photo on dA at about just past midnight, but was too tired to do a proper post here. So here it is not, 21 hours later x:

Cosfest ‘09

Today was cosfest 09 – day 1!
Met limey first then we walked around the booths~ I GOT MY DOGS DOUJIN!!! Plus bought BJD prints from woddee. They’re really pretty *w* Also bought DOGS postcard + KHR bookmarks \o/

All in all, cosfest 09 was awesome! I’m deadbeat and even though the feel of the event wasn’t really like the one I felt 2 years back, it was still pretty enjoyable! :3

Well, won’t be attending tomorrow’s event. I managed to convince my mom to let me off of tuition tomorrow morning, but I still have truckloads of work to complete PLUS need to do something else.  GANBA TO THE REST OF THE COSERS WHO ARE STILL CHIONGING THEIR STUFF FOR TOMORROW <3

There should be another update on monday though, LOOK OUT! <3

TGX ‘09

*sorry for the delay, my internet connection went down after I updated my dA journal oTL||*

Intended to reach there by 2 or 3, really. But first of all, my block’s lift was undergoing load testing until 12.30 and I refuse to walk down 17floors of unventilated steps, so there. Then also because carrot was having a stomachache, so there was no point going down to arab street myself since I’m horrible colour tone blind.

So by the time we met up at Bugis, it was about 3. Then went to get the NEW cloth (refer to previous post, yes I decided to get new cloth OTZ), then waited for reilamama and her cloth, then took a bus to Suntec~

By the time we reached Suntec, it was 5! oTL Saw the K-on team first, lol. Then met holydust and said a very quick hi, lol! \o/

We walked and looked around, but there wasn’t much? ;/ Well, met Mel (sckisses@dA) as well! ohohoho.
